The Nupo Diet is a Very Low Calorie Diet (VLCD) which is sometimes also referred to as a Total Diet Replacement (TDR) or a Formula Diet.

What is a VLCD?

VLCD stands for Very Low-Calorie Diet and is also known as a TDR = Total Diet Replacement.

The Nupo Diet follows VLCD regulations, providing six daily portions of Diet Shakes, Soups, or Meals, ensuring all essential nutrients while keeping calorie intake at around 800 kcal per day.

By law, VLCDs must contain 450–800 kcal per day, as studies show consuming less than 800 kcal does not accelerate weight loss. The Nupo Diet averages 800 kcal across six portions, helping maintain stable blood sugar and digestion.

With 18 flavours to mix and match, there's something for everyone.

Can I breastfeed while on the Nupo Diet?

Generally, we do not recommend starting the Nupo Diet while breastfeeding. We advise you to consult your doctor if you wish to begin the Nupo Diet while breastfeeding.

Do you experience headaches while on the Nupo Diet?

If you make sure to drink about 300 ml of water with each of your 6 Nupo Diet products per day – and additionally drink 2-3 liters of calorie-free fluids, there should be nothing to worry about. If you are used to consuming a lot of sugar and suddenly stop when starting the Nupo Diet, you may experience headaches. However, the headache should disappear within a relatively short time as your body adjusts to the Nupo Diet.

Can you exercise while on the Nupo Diet?

Yes, you can exercise while using our Nupo Diet products. It can be a good idea to combine Nupo and exercise for more effective weight loss. However, some people experience slightly lower endurance than usual due to the low energy content provided by the Nupo Diet.
