FAQ about weight loss
What is a TDR?
TDR stands for Total Diet Replacement, also known as a VLCD = Very Low Calorie Diet.
The Nupo Diet follows TDR regulations, providing six daily portions of Diet Shakes, Soups, Meals and desserts ensuring all essential nutrients while keeping calorie intake at around 750-900 kcal per day.
By law, TDR's must contain 450–900 kcal per day, as studies show consuming less than 800 kcal does not accelerate weight loss. The Nupo Diet averages 800 kcal across six portions, helping maintain stable blood sugar and digestion.
With over 20 flavours to mix and match, there's something for everyone.
Can I breastfeed while on the Nupo Diet?
Generally, we do not recommend starting the Nupo Diet while breastfeeding. We advise you to consult your doctor if you wish to begin the Nupo Diet while breastfeeding.

If you are used to consuming a lot of sugar and suddenly stop when starting the Nupo Diet, you may experience headaches. However, the headache should disappear within a relatively short time as your body adjusts to the Nupo Diet.

Is the Nupo Diet suitable if I am taking weight loss medications?
Absolutely, in fact, the Nupo Diet is an excellent partner when taking weight loss medication.
Since weight loss medication reduces your appetite, many people will not get the proper nutrients their body still needs while losing weight. The Nupo Diet ensures you get all the nutrients you need in a Total Diet Replacement when you consume 6–7 portions. And the best part is that you can mix and match between more than 20 flavours of shakes, soups, meals and desserts while still keeping your calorie count low.
