FAQ about LCD Meal Plan
Will I still lose weight on an LCD (Low Calorie Diet) compared to a VLCD (Very Low Calorie Diet)?
You have the same opportunities to reach your goals with an LCD as with a VLCD.
If you are very active or not in a hurry to achieve your goals, an LCD, which provides more calories per day, might be easier to stick to.
Similarly, if you’re coming from a high-calorie diet, transitioning to an LCD may be more manageable.
Over time, you can switch to a VLCD if needed. In short, you can always move between the two plans as it suits your needs.
How do I decide which meal plan to choose?
Your choice depends on your goals, lifestyle, and activity level.
If you're currently consuming a high number of calories, you might want to start with an LCD, which provides slightly more calories per day to begin with.
If you're very active, a plan with more daily calories might be more suitable for you. Later on, you can transition to a VLCD and reduce the number of Nupo Diet portions to lower your calorie intake.
However, you should never go below 6 portions per day to ensure your body gets the nutrients it needs. If you have any questions, feel free to contact our customer service at info@nupo.dk or consult your doctor for guidance.
Can I work out on a LCD?
You can exercise on both a VLCD and an LCD. However, you need to consider your activity level in relation to the nutrition you’re consuming. If you are moderately active, it’s fine, but you should listen to your body and ensure you stay hydrated to keep your body in balance.
If you’re on a VLCD with only 650-800 kcal per day and feel your body lacks energy, you should consider switching to an LCD by adding one more portion Nupo Diet per day.
A good way to include 7 portions is to combine multiple portions in one meal, e.g. 2 x Diet Oatmeal for breakfast. For many, dinner is the time when they feel the need for a bit more food, so you could also combine two portions here.
Alternatively, you can follow one of our other meal plans, where we mix the Nupo Diet with regular foods.
Who is an LCD best suited for?
An LCD is ideal for those who prefer a moderate reduction in calorie intake and a less restrictive meal plan, or for those transitioning from a VLCD or looking to maintain their weight loss.
Can I still use Nupo’s products for both the VLCD and LCD meal plans?
Yes, Nupo products are designed to support both VLCD and LCD meal plans, ensuring complete nutritional balance regardless of which plan you choose.
Who is an LCD intended for?
An LCD is ideal for those who want a moderate calorie restriction or need a less restrictive option than a VLCD – for example, during the transition phase between weight loss and weight maintenance.
